Pension Plan Governance Guidelines & Self-Assessment Questionnaire

On October 24, 2004, CAPSA released the CAPSA Guideline No. 4: Pension Plan Governance Guidelines and Self-Assessment Questionnaire. The purpose of the guidelines and self-assessment questionnaire is to assist pension plan administrators in fulfilling their governance responsibilities by achieving and maintaining good governance practices. It is the expectation of regulators that pension plan administrators will voluntarily take measures necessary to follow the guidelines.

 

CAPSA subsequently released a a Frequently Asked Questions companion document in June, 2005. The purpose of the FAQ is to provide pension plan administrators with general guidance, additional clarification and examples related to the Guideline and Self-Assessment Questionnaire.
