CAPSA is a national association of pension regulators whose mission is to facilitate an efficient and effective pension regulatory system in Canada. It develops practical solutions to further the coordination and harmonization of pension regulators across Canada.
CAPSA established the National Pension Compliance Officers Association (NPCOA). The goal of the NPCOA is to harmonize, where possible, administrative policies and processes related to the registration and monitoring of pension plans in all jurisdictions.
The Canadian Association of Pension Supervisory Authorities (CAPSA) is one of the three members of the
Joint Forum of Financial Market Regulators (Joint Forum). The other Joint Forum members are the
Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators (CCIR) and the
Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA). It also includes representation from the
Canadian Insurance Services Regulatory Organizations (CISRO).
